We had a presentation from Valley Food Bank at Rotary today. As you will read in the minutes the Valley Food Bank is in their new location and are working hard to get it working to the capacity of the plan from their vision. Our Christmas Social is confirmed and plans are made for a jolly good time, details are in the Ray. Don't forget about Bingo Wednesday night and have a great week!

-Richmond Corner Area Rec Council- Letter to Rotary requesting funds to complete an upgrade to their playground.
-All members should have received an Email about Rotary District 7810 AGM November 24 on Zoom. Please Register and make plans to attend.
-Email all members should have received an email about Speaker Series, November 22 at 6:00pm on Zoom there is a Webinar entitled “Indigenous People and Communities of African Descent” Please Register beforehand.
-Email, November is a month of FREE opportunity open to all Rotarians and Rotoractors. November 20 at 10:00am Self Care Talk. “Self Care for Rotarians that Serve Above Self” please register in advance.
-Debec Rec Council notified us they received all the funding they need so they will not be asking Rotary for funds at this time.
-Woodstock Reads – they were very happy to hear Rotary approved their request for funding for their literacy program for children with learning disabilities.
New Business / Committee reports:
Valley Food Bank – Asking for Rotary to join them to help raise $500 000.00 for their project. Moved by Jon Slipp 2nd by Eugene Craig for Rotary to set up a committee to work on the Valley Food Bank request and come back to the Rotary Club with recommendations how to move forward. Motion passed.
Gary Stewart – Please go and get your account set up on My Rotary to allow you to make donations to Rotary International and the donation will be linked to your account.
Ashley Farrell – Christmas Social is confirmed. Dec 13 at 5:30 in the Rotary Room downstairs at Ayr Motor Centre. Tickets will be on sale starting at our next meeting November 22. The Christmas Social is open to Members, guests, and Rotoractors and their guest. The cost per person is $45.00, there will also be a silent auction at the dinner. The Committee is asking for donations of items for the Silent Auction.
Hilary Stockford – Dance Committee has met, we are planning the event for February 12. We are looking to increase the number of Corporate sponsors this year. A Corporate sponsor is $1000.00 and will include 2 tickets to the event. Rotarian Glazier Canam will be looking after the corporate sponsors. Contact Glazier or Hilary Stockford to set up a sponsorship.
Rick Nicholson – Mitten Campaign, we have met a few times and we will be donating the mittens to Townsview School and Meduxnekeag Schools this Thursday.
Program: Monica Grant presented to the club via Zoom. She updated some statistics that the Food Bank has achieved in the past year. She then gave us a powerpoint presentation showing us the plan for the Valley Food Bank in the new location that they have now occupied. The Valley Food Bank has invested $440 000.00 to date in their new location. Monica shared their “to do” list with us breaking down what they need to do right away moving forward. The projected cost for this is $395 000.00. She then gave us an indication of the wish list the Valley Food Bank has for the future. The Valley Food Bank is asking Rotary to join them to raise $500 000.00 to help the food bank achieve their goals and continue to serve the valley.
