Good Afternoon Rotarians
Our guest speaker presented via Zoom today, we had Robbie Griffin from the Rotary Club of Grand Manan Island giving us a presentation on Rotary Foundation. We had 16 Rotarians present with one guest on Zoom with the presenter. Have a great week, see you next Monday October 25 in person at the Ayr Motor Centre for our business meeting. Lunch is being prepared by Creek Village Cafe.

-Reminder from Rotarian Alison, Tulips are available for pick up at Mclellan’s Brand Source Furnishings.

-RLI Part 3 training available virtually November 23,24, & 25. An email has been sent to all members, register online.

New Business / Committee reports:
- Bob Stokes – Thank you to David Alward for volunteering at the Blood Clinic, we surpassed our quota.
- Scott Dunlop – Halloween event is coming along. There is a sign-up sheet for anyone who wants to be a volunteer. Hours are 6-10 October 30. Similar drive thru as last year. Woodstock Council has approved the event. LESS THAN 2 WEEKS AWAY. Treats can be dropped off at Ayr Motor Centre.
- President Matt Box is still working on committees. Matt sent out an email with some committees and names on it. Anyone who wants to be on a committee let President Matt Box know asap.
Program: Robbie Griffin Rotary Club of Grand Manan Island – Rotary Foundation
Robbie Griffin gave a Zoom presentation on the features and benefits of the Rotary Foundation. Some key points are 91% of donations to the foundation are spent on charity, What is 1 thing your club can do to inspire and challenge members toward the foundation, there are global and district grants available to help with a number of the 7 areas of focus or needs identified by Rotary. He explained how to give money to the foundation in various ways and how some of that money can come back to our club. It was a long and interesting presentation.
