Correspondence:
  • Email from Ayr Motor Centre regarding new Covid-19 Regulations.  A copy of the email was forwarded to all members Sunday September 19.
New Business / Committee reports:
  • Shelley Hubbert – Membership Committee, a meeting will be arranged for next month.
  • Alison Mclellan – Tulips, some of the tulips have been paid for.  Please send in payment asap to Alison.
  • Hilary Stockford – Dance Committee, the dance is quickly approaching.  Anyone interested in joining the dance committee contact Hilary.
  • Angela Acott Smitt – Rotoract, we had another successful meal at the Harvest House, thank you to Rotarian Jeff for volunteering.  We now have a retired Chef helping Rotoract with meals.  We will be volunteering at the Big Brothers Big Sisters Golf tournament this weekend, volunteers are welcome.
  • Scott Dunlop – Halloween Event – this year we will be hosting the Halloween Drive through October 30.  Anyone interested in being on the committee let him know.  Our event will be bigger and better this year.  We look forward to possibly working with The Old Home Week Committee on this event.
  • Corey Clark – Bingo Committee, the Jackpot is now at $7800.00.  Our reset is higher than it was, the new reset is working well.
  • Moved By Gary Stewart second by Barb Kierstead that the club give an extra $5000.00 to Shelter Box.  Vote 22- Yes 1-No.  Motion Passed.
  • Hilary Stockford – Update on Woodstock Reads – Hilary has received an email from the organizers.  They want to start with 10 students and add 10 each year for the next 3 years.  They are asking for funding to support the program they are starting.  They have received some money elsewhere.  The ask is $53000.00 over 3 years.
  • Shelley Hubbert – Can we have an updated list of Committees with members on it?  We do not know what the committees are and who is on them.  President Matt will get the information and send it out.

  • Our Club will be needing a new board member for next year.  Anyone interested or anyone who has a nomination bring it forward please.
  • We received a notice that our insurance may be going up $4 per member.  We will confirm and let the membership know.
  • Shelter Box, It was recommended by John Slipp that the club give an extra $5000.00 to Shelter Box to help with their Haiti Support.
  • Budget – Budget was reviewed and questions asked and answered.
  • Moved By Eugene Craig second by Gary Stewart to accept the budget as proposed.  Vote passed.
  • Christmas Social – December 13 – Depending on Covid our President is hoping to have a turkey dinner and social for our club.  This would be in place of our usual lunch meeting.  WE WILL UPDATE THIS AS WE GET CLOSER TO THE DATE!!!  IF WE ARE ABLE WE MAY HAVE AN EVENING MEAL AND SOCIAL.
  • We will be inviting our Rotoract members to attend our BOD meeting and see our Bingo Operation to try and get them involved in our fundraising.

  • Hilary Stockford – We harvested our Stockford Pumpkin patch.  We had 22 pumpkins plus 4 still on the vine.
  • Corey Clark – Blue Jays are in the wildcard race
  • Gary Stewart – My fathe was a cardinals fan and passed it on to me, they are now leading
  • Andrew Garnett – The Red Sox are now ahead of the Blue Jays
  • Scott Dunlop – There was a time when there were 11 members in our club passing a budget, since then we are now able to pass a great budget and support things like literacy and food bank.
